What are the top baby cots in the UK? Well, just had to know and sent our team in search of answers!
There’s no getting around the fact that a cot will probably be the most expensive piece of baby equipment you’re going to buy – and there’s absolutely no way of getting around it. At least with our handy cot buying guide you’ll be able to get this crucial purchase secured, set up and ready to go long before your little one arrives – how’s THAT for some serious peace of mind?
As mentioned, your baby’s cot will probably be the most expensive piece of baby equipment you’ll have to buy. Oh sure, you can bag a cot for £70 – but, when it comes to your baby’s safety and comfort, you really want to spend as much as you can afford to. Prices can go up to £700 for a luxury cot, so it’s worth shopping around to find a cot that suits your budget and needs, to ensure it lasts you through your baby’s early months. Before you head out to the shops, scour the net and compare prices on cots to see what you can get for your money – going into the world of cot shopping with a clear head for figures is utterly imperative.
This is purely a personal decision, as cot sizes vary greatly. Larger cots allow your baby more room and, if you’re happy to do so, will allow your baby to continue to use the cot well into their toddler years. Smaller cots, however, save on space and are perfectly adequate for a growing baby – not to mention a little cheaper. The choice is yours!
Most cots will allow you to adjust the base height as your baby grows, allowing you to more easily place your baby in and out of the cot. Ideally, you’ll want to set the cot to the highest level for the first few months, so that you can have easy access to your little one, and then reposition the cot to the lowest level as your baby starts to pull him or herself up – and the possibility of escape becomes a very real threat.
